Beautiful Places in the Bay Area

There are a lot of places to camp and hike in the Santa Cruz mountains. Who but a race fan would know a racetrack would be one of them?

Laguna Seco racetrack offers a campground, play equipment, and an excellent view. The racetrack is located on a steep hill, so don't expect a level tent, but there is a great view and even some hiking trails out back!

A walk in the early morning revealed plenty of wildlife, including birds and deer.

Laguna Seco is located along the road from Highway 101 to Highway 1 at Carmel.
