Holly Baker had a Boy!
On Saturday, September 25th, at 7:30 am, my sister gave birth to a healthy son, Kyan Gray Baker. Kyan was born 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 20 inches long. Holly and her husband, Dan, named him that evening--leaving the whole family in suspense for months.
I don't have any pictures yet, but my parents (of course) took tons! See a few, including me holding the baby at www.taxtrimmers.com/noindex/kyan.shtml. My face isn't in the picture--I'm just the one in the green shirt--but it's a great picture of Kyan.
You may notice some discoloration on my right hand, since the photo is an extreme close up. That's from my trying to make apple fritters for the first time back in mid-August. The recipe didn't give me any idea how hot the oil should be and I managed to set off three fire alarms in addition to burning myself, but the apple fritters came out good.
Expect more news and some of my own photos of Kyan in the near future! I didn't bring my camera to the hospital last weekend, and my sister is happy about that, but I will take a few shots the next time I see him.
