James Graduates from UC Berkeley

James graduated from UC Berkeley this December with his BA in Philosophy, right on schedule. For the first time ever, Berkeley had so many December graduates that they decided to do a special graduation ceremony just for them.

James had always threatened not to walk, but his roommate somehow talked him into it and he dressed up in a graduation gown and sat through the hour-long ceremony. I think it was so short because they didn't get a big-name speaker for it, and I think everyone appreciated that! Afterward, we had a small party to celebrate his graduation at Holly's restaurant.

In honor of James, Dan made special hamburgers and fried his own potato chips. The meal was delicious, and we are all very proud of James. He is now working on getting into graduate school.
