I'm a Toastmasters Area Governor

I don't have much to say here. There was no vote. I just volunteered, and told them I would not accept any alternatives to my home area, G-4. The two other candidates from Saratoga Toastmasters have accepted other areas.

Being an Area Governor means helping nearby clubs improve, organizing inter-club activities, and most importantly, organizing two good contests. The position will last for one year.

The yucky part from my point of view is the interminable meetings. Our training session will last all day on a Saturday.

On the other hand, I will be one step closer to my Advanced Leader Award, and I will learn a lot along the way. (I'm just an Advanced Toastmaster Bronze and Competent Leader now.)
