James is Accepted By UC Berkeley!

Early this May, James received a letter from UC Berkeley - the college he really wants to go to - saying he was accepted! Unfortunately, they say, they don't have room for him this Fall. He'll have to wait until Spring.

We're all happy for my brother, but he's concerned. He isn't certain he wants to wait a whole semester before starting at a university. Above all, he doesn't want to have to go back to West Valley for more classes.

He's been to UC Santa Cruz with a graduate. He's been to UC Davis with a graduate. Now, he's been invited to visit UC Berkeley. My parents plan to take him next Sunday, May 20th. They have a three hour open house. (UCSC's was all day!)

James wants to go to UC Berkeley because they have two famous Philosophy professors he would like to study with.
